Bazaar at Fremantle Arts Centre

George Street Festival

VW Car Show

The VW Club of Western Australia takes over Wilson Park at South Beach, South Fremantle, for their annual showcase of classic VW cars. Free entry.

Fringe World at Freo.Social

Live music venue, Freo.Social, hosts The Velvet Playboys Orchestra with The Big Sound from New Orleans to Las Vegas, featuring Adam Hall for its Fringe World 2022 season.

The National Comedy Fringe Showcase

The National Fringe Comedy Showcase is a selection of 'comedy greats' from across FRINGE WORLD performing weekly at the historic National Hotel.

One Day in Fremantle

One Day is a celebration of Aboriginal culture through music and performance. A more culturally inclusive answer to Australia Day. 

FEBRUARY

Sculptures at Bathers

Bathers Beach is transformed with sculptures lining the timber boardwalk in bushland below the limestone cliffs of The Roundhouse at Arthur Head and inside the historic Kidogo Arthouse. A biennial exhibition to showcase WA local talent. 

Perth Festival

The quays, docks, warehouses and beachfront of Fremantle will undergo an extraordinary transformation during Perth Festival with music, art installations, and a weekend writers festival.

Some of Australia's best live music acts take over the Esplanade in Fremantle for a day of sounds and sunshine. Missy Higgins, The Waifs, Pete Murray and local songstress Banjo Lucia headline the SummerSalt 2022 festival.

Hand in Hand

Kidogo Irish Aboriginal Festival explores and celebrates Fremantle's lesser-known connection between Irish and Indigenous cultures at the stunning Bathers Beach venue.

Freo's streets come alive as the port city is a stage for this annual festival. City streets, parks and historic venues play host to performers across the Easter weekend.

Revealed Aboriginal Art Market

An annual event showcases original artworks from Western Australia's remote and regional Aboriginal Art Centres and independent Aboriginal artists for purchase.

Falls Festival

An eclectic collective of well-known Australian and international bands, DJs and comedians take over Fremantle Oval. Falls Festival 2022 has Halsey, Vampire Weekend, Lewis Capaldi, and Wolfmother rumoured to be headlining.

Light Fest

Diwali, the Indian Festival Of Lights, celebrates new beginnings. This daylong street event in South Fremantle, at the end of South Terrace, has live entertainment, kids activities, food trucks, market stalls and more.

An Aboriginal festival of dance to transfix an audience with its celebration of Australian Indigenous culture in the beautiful grounds of the Fremantle Arts Centre.

Beer Fest

More than just a festival to praise the beauty of beer, Beer Fest is an eclectic mix of food, music and comedy, all delivered within Fremantle's leafy Esplanade park.
